millbrae-art-wine-festivalArt & Wine Festival

Every Labor Day weekend for the past 37 years, the Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival in downtown Millbrae. People from all over the Bay Area gather for a festive two-day celebration featuring a juried arts and crafts show with over 200 artisans selling their original work in wood, leather, ceramics, metal, textiles, graphics, glass, sculpture, jewelry, photography, watercolor and oil painting. The festival is enhanced by performances from the Bay Area’s best musicians. Local community groups also showcase their talents on the festival’s various stages. Kids are treated to performances by magicians, jugglers, animal shows and amusement rides.

Of course, the festival would not be complete without delicious food being served at multiple locations along Broadway. Whether you’re hungry for garlic fries, kettle corn, teriyaki chicken, roasted corn-on-the-cob, or gourmet sausages, you will find it along with a great selection of wines, beers, and margaritas.

The festival also allows many of our local non-profit organizations, service clubs and youth programs to show the community what they are all about. Admission to the festival is always free and proceeds go to support the Chamber’s program of work throughout the year.

The 2008 festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Be sure to visit millbrae.com for more information.
